Command Reference Guide Global Configuration Mode Command Set

ip snmp agent

Use the ip snmp agent command to enable the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) agent.

Syntax Description

No subcommands

Default Values

By default, the SNMP agent is disabled.

Command Modes

(config)# Global Configuration Mode required

Functional Notes

Allows a MIB browser to access standard MIBs within the product. This also allows the product to send traps to

a trap management station.

Usage Examples

The following example enables the IP SNMP agent:

ip snmp agent
