NetVanta 3000 access routers and NetVanta 1000 Ethernet switches
offer Quality of Service (QoS) for prioritizing delay-sensitive or
mission-critical traffic, such as VoIP. At the Network Layer (Layer 3),
priority traffic is classified using the NetVanta 3000 Series and is then
routed using Priority Queuing. The NetVanta 1000 Series of Ethernet
switches supports 802.1p Class of Service (CoS) for Layer 2 frame
tagging and enforcement of tagged traffic from trusted sources,
using Weighted Round Robin (WRR) and Strict Priority queuing for
prioritization. The NetVanta 2000 Series offers work-at-home users
secure corporate connectivity using a stateful inspection firewall,
VPN functionality, and an optional four-port switch for connecting
IP phones and computers.
Frame Relay Access Routing with VPN Dial Backup
The NetVanta
®
3000 Series offers PPP dial backup using analog or
ISDN BRI circuits. For added data protection across the Internet, these
dial backup links can also establish a Virtual Private Network (VPN)
tunnel, guaranteeing client credit card confidentiality and/or protected
corporate communications.
